Letter from the President

Welcome to the MN CARH website. Our organization formally began in 1991. The purpose of the MN CARH organization is to promote the common interest of those persons actively engaged in providing services with reference to the development and management of rural multi-family housing through the following activities:

  • To provide educational opportunities specific to the affordable housing industry
  • To provide networking opportunities for our members
  • To serve as a communication vehicle for members
  • To keep members informed of legislative and administrative changes affecting rural housing and development programs administered by State and Federal governmental agencies
  • To represent the interests of its members before appropriate legislative and administrative bodies in the formulation of policy for rural housing and development
  • To promote sponsorship and study of legislation and regulations governing the financing and operation of rural development
  • To promote professionalism within the rural development industry through cooperation and exchange of information among members
  • To collaborate with USDA Rural Development administration and staff

Our Board of Directors is made up of owners and managers of affordable housing having a great deal of expertise in the affordable housing industry. As a board, we welcome your input and encourage you to attend our annual conference, and I personally welcome your emails or calls to discuss any issues, ideas or concerns you may have.
